Just a 30 minute drive away, is Fort William with mountain climbing, water sports, gorge walking and mountain biking – it’s not known as the Outdoor Capital of the UK for nothing! Experience the thrill of a fast boat ride along the Loch, or head up to the Nevis Range ski centre for the thrill seekers amongst you, you won’t be short of things to do in this fantastic location.

If you just want to relax and take things a bit easier, there is a reason that this place in Scotland is a well renowned area for filmmakers. Take a trip on the Jacobite Steam Train, most famous for being the Hogwarts express! The scarlet train runs a distance of 41 miles between Fort William and Mallaig, darting through the beautiful Scottish scenery including alongside Loch Eil, Glenfinnan Viaduct and Arisaig. From here, then make your way to the Kyle of Lochalsh passing Eilean Donan Castle – the most photographed castle in the world and the castle that was featured in the film the Highlander!
